International days

World Water Day

Water is key to stopping the spread of COVID-19. But 2.2 billion people worldwide live without access to safe drinking water, and nearly 3 billion have no way to wash their hands to prevent the virus.

This #WorldWaterDay also reminds us that our use of water helps reduce flooding, drought, scarcity, and pollution, as well as combat climate change.

That's why # We All Have a Role to Play

Women's Day

Water For People wants to highlight the hard work of rural women in ensuring the availability of water for their families and communities. We believe it is necessary to empower them and fight for greater representation in community water management structures.

Menstrual Hygiene Day

We believe that every woman and girl has the right to live their period with dignity and safety. But this is not possible without water and sanitation services in every community, public institution, and home.
